BMW debuts laser headlight and head-up display helmet for motorcycles

LAS VEGAS — While cars are increasingly becoming more tech-savvy by the minute, motorcycles have been left in the proverbial dust. That is, until now. BMW debuted its laser headlight and head-up display (HUD) helmet concepts.

BMW applied its car HUD technology to this new concept helmet. Just like in its cars, this helmet projects data in the riders' direct line of vision. Riders will now be able to see current tire pressure, oil and fuel levels, travel speed and selected gear, speed limit and road sign recognition, plus warnings of impending dangers. Read more...
