Apple is releasing a red and gold Watch just for Chinese New Year

Fashion trends come and go, but the Chinese have long kept to the tradition of being decked out in red during Chinese New Year.

With the lunar new year just weeks ago, Apple is ready for the Year of the Monkey. It's releasing its Apple Watch Sport model in two new finishes — yellow gold aluminium and silver aluminium — and is pairing them with bold red straps, for good luck. Both styles will be available in 38mm and 42mm watch sizes.
