Netflix revamps Windows 10 app with Cortana voice commands

Netflix's new Window 10 app is more than just a pretty makeover

The video streaming app has been completely rewritten from the ground up as a Universal Windows Platform (UWP) app, which allows it to run on devices of all sizes from PCs to tablets, to smartphones (in the "near future") running Windows 10. The new Netflix app also supports Cortana, Windows 10's voice assistant.

"Our members on Windows run across many different screen sizes, resolutions and scaling factors," the company wrote in a blog post detailing the new app. "The new version of the application uses a responsive layout to optimize the size and placement of items based on the window size and scaling factor."
