Volkswagen teases all-electric microbus concept ahead of CES debut

Good news, Volkswagen Microbus fans: There might be a new one coming very soon ... with an electric motor driving the wheels.

When, in the wake of dieselgate, Volkswagen said it'd refocus its energy on electric vehicles, we thought that meant it would have a few new, eco-friendly EVs in a few years time. Seems, though, that the embattled German automaker has been hard at work and has already prepared a new electron-driving car.

We say that because Friday it released a teaser image of the concept vehicle it will debut at 2016 CES, saying, "the world premiere marks the beginning of a new era of affordable long-distance electromobility." Read more...
