Report: Tesla's 7.1 software update could restrict Autopilot's free reign

Tesla Model S drivers running software 7.0 have virtual carte blanche when it comes to engaging the Autopilot suite of semi-autonomous driving systems

That might change when 7.1 drops.

According to Teslarati, software update 7.1 will seriously ratchet down the accessibility of Autopilot. These limitations include keeping the car at or below the speed limit while Autopilot is engaged as well as limiting Auto Steer, one of the most beloved but contentious self-driving systems in Autopilot.
