U.S. regulators delay 'quiet car' rules until at least mid-March

U.S. regulators have once again delayed discussion of so-called "quiet car" laws that would require hybrid and electric vehicle manufacturers to outfit vehicles with noise emitters so pedestrians and bicyclists could hear them.

Although the proposed laws have been under consideration since 2013, Reuters cites recent government filings that indicate regulators have pushed back any further finalization of quiet car laws until at least mid-March.
