Audi apologizes for Dieselgate by giving $1,000 to owners, following VW's lead

In Volkswagen's foosteps, Audi has opened up its very own goodwill program for the owners of its A3 2.0-liter TDI diesel models affected by Dieselgate.

Audi A3 2.0-liter diesel owners will receive two $500 pre-paid gift cards as well as free roadside assistance for three years, much like the VW program. The first pre-paid card can be spent anywhere the recipient chooses, while the second will be reserved solely for in-dealership spending.

To receive the cards, owners must register online with the vehicle's VIN number, their driver's license and proof of ownership by April 30, 2016. Owners should receive the package within four weeks after registering. Read more...
