LOS ANGELES — Hate getting into a cold car in the morning? Ford's new SYNC Connect smartphone app will let you remotely schedule a daily start-up time, ensuring your car's cabin is the perfect temperature — before you even touch the door handle

Debuting along with the new Escape, Ford has unveiled a new smartphone app called SYNC Connect that allows owners to remotely, well, connect with their car. Though scheduled remote start is one of the coolest features, it does a bit more than that.

Communicating with the 2017 Ford Escape by way of an in-vehicle modem, owners can monitor their car's fuel, oil and battery levels. They can also lock and unlock their car. They can even see on a map where it's located, should they forget where it's parked. Read more...
