Airbnb cancels Paris conference in wake of attacks

The Airbnb Open conference being held in Paris has been cancelled in the wake of the attacks in the city on Friday

Scheduled to run from November 12 to 14, the apartment-sharing company's conference was meant to facilitate a gathering of Airbnb hosts as well as deepen the company's ties to its users. Instead, the conference was abruptly cancelled as Paris is still reeling from the events of the past 24 hours

"We are saddened and heartbroken by the events in Paris overnight," reads the statement from Airbnb on its website. "Our top priority is helping Airbnb Open attendees, hosts, and travelers in Paris stay safe. We’re also focused on confirming our employees are safe." Read more...
