Netflix went down briefly, and everyone briefly panicked

UPDATED 8:15 p.m. ET

That brief and terrible time in our country when “Netflix and chill” (wink!) was imperiled and people momentarily lost their chill is over. The Netflix website is back up.

The movies and TV shows never stopped working, so maybe this was just the mischievous soul of the Internet reminding us of our dependency on the streaming service.
