Xiaomi kicks off Diwali celebrations, to sell stuff for just a buck!

Xiaomi is kicking off its Diwali celebrations a week early in India. Apart from regular discounts on its smartphones, the Chinese smartphone maker will hold flash sales twice every day from Nov. 3 to 5, where it will sell its wares for just Re 1 or less than a cent.

The flash sale will take place twice every day at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. To register, participants need to login and share the announcement on Twitter and Facebook. Registration closes two hours before the start of the flash sale. While the company hasn’t revealed which products will be on flash sale, it is likely to include accessories such as basic earphones, which it retails at Rs 299 ($4.5) and a USB LED light that sells for Rs 199 ($3).
