Note to car thieves: Don't try to steal a Tesla. Or if you do, try and make off with the owner's smartphone too

I mean, I'm not suggesting you steal any cars because that's illegal and generally a mean thing to do, but if you simply must steal, don't bother with a Tesla

A Vancouver Tesla owner whose car was stolen from an underground parking lot was able to track the theft in real-time, working with the local authorities to corner and arrest the thief, The Province reports.

After attending a concert, the owner, Katya Pinkowski, and a friend went to garage where the Tesla was originally parked, only to find that the car was no longer there. After a call to the local towing company revealed that no Tesla had been towed that night, Pinkowski called her husband, Cary Pinkowski, who pulled up the Tesla app on his phone. Read more...
