Copenhagen's morning traffic isn't what you'd imagine in a big city

The phrase "rush hour" typically conjures a mental image of cars and trucks lined up bumper-to-bumper, honking and frustrated at their immobility. The morning traffic in Copenhagen, however, reveals a different scene.

Copenhagen resident Jim Slade filmed a short video for bike store Larry vs. Harry showing dozens of people during their morning commute. The three car lanes are practically empty compared to the bike lane. Check it out below.

"It shows cyclists on their morning commute from the residential area of Nørrebro into the city center, and is certainly one of the busiest intersections in Copenhagen, but this exodus is mirrored in other areas of the city," Slade told Fast Company. Read more...
