After more than three and a half years since it had a major hardware update, the new Apple TV is finally shipping to consumers.

With the new Apple TV, Apple is embracing the idea that the TV channel is dead and its future is apps.

With brand-new hardware, a fantastic new remote control and a new interface — the Apple TV of 2015 is a wholly different beast than the products that came before it.
