Motorola Droid Turbo 2 has shatterproof screen, Maxx version lasts 2 days

Motorola and Verizon are teaming up once again for new Droid smartphones.

As expected, the two companies announced on Tuesday the Droid Turbo 2 and Droid Maxx 2. The Turbo 2 has a so-called "shatterproof" display, and the latter boasts two-day battery life.

Though neither phone is as sleek as the Moto X Pure Edition, they've each got features that are increasingly more important than pure hardware performance and display resolution.

Durable and rugged
