Google courts podcasters for new Play Music feature

If you haven't heard, podcasts are officially a thing. And now Google is welcoming podcasters with open arms

Google is adding podcasts to Play Music and soliciting podcasters to upload content before the service officially launches in the coming months. It announced the news in a post on its Android Official Blog Tuesday.

The addition of podcasts means Google will offer its users a way to listen to podcasts within its own ecosystem, rather than forcing users to turn to third-party apps. Google also touted the fact that it would offer mood-based curation for podcasts similar to its music curation, which recommends different types of music to suit moods and activities. Read more...
