Twitter is finally updating its Mac app

After years of neglect, Twitter announced Wednesday that it has fully revamped and updated the Twitter for Mac client.

The announcement came at Flight, Twitter's developer conference, taking place in San Francisco.

Twitter's Jeff Siebert gave a preview of the app, which is expected to launch later this year (no exact date was given). Screenshots of the app also appear to show shortcuts for inserting emoji and photos into messages and tweets.
