New York Times teams with Google to release slate of virtual reality films

Continuing its mission to shake off the old world stigma of print, the New York Times has announced plans to partner with Google in an effort to deliver more virtual reality-driven stories

Beginning the week of Nov. 7, some Times home delivery subscribers will receive codes that will allow them to obtain a free Google Cardboard viewer to watch a VR film called The Displaced.
