An Asus HoloLens could make holograms cheap enough for everyone

Augmented reality headsets are the next virtual reality headsets.

Asus is interested in building its own version of Microsoft's HoloLens, a visor that can display holograms right on top of the real world, according to CNET.

Asus chairman Jonney Shih told the publication the company is "still evaluating" the idea of releasing its own augmented reality headset and that consumers will have to "wait and see."
