Meet your match, drones: This device will stop 'em in their tracks

Drones are filling the skies before our eyes — and not everyone is happy about it.

Three British technology firms — Blighter Surveillance Systems, Chess Dynamics and Enterprise Control Systems — have teamed up to create the Anti-UAV Defense System (AUDS), which is designed to stop drones that are engaging in harmful and malicious activity. Security system supplier Liteye Systems showcased the device in Las Vegas this week

It uses a radar to scan for threats in the sky and sends the information to a camera system to help target them. Once the camera detects the target, it uses a set of radio antennas to broadcast signals that shut down the unmanned aerial vehicle. Read more...
