Report: Apple is getting a second 'spaceship' 5 miles from Cupertino

How big is Apple? Big enough it needs not one, but two so-called "spaceship" offices. That's approximately two more than your company.

Apple just signed a deal on Landbank Investment's Central & Wolfe project, a 777,100 square foot campus currently being built in Sunnyvale, California, reports the Silicon Valley Business Journal. The building will be a large, curvaceous glass structure with extensive outdoor green space.

Central & Wolfe is being advertised as "Not Another Box," which based on the renderings on its site is an accurate statement. It's made up of three buildings, each with their own central green space, centering around a large central garden. The Silicon Valley Business Journal describes it as looking like three connected "flower petals," though the dirty-minded among us (this reporter included) might see something else. Read more...
