The first drop test: Just how durable are the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus?
American Keaton Keller, who runs the YouTube channel TechSmartt, has smashed an iPhone 6S and an iPhone 6S Plus on the ground just moments after getting his hands on them in Sydney, Australia.
The YouTube star and his video partner in crime Matt Jones lined up in the rain at the flagship Apple Store on George Street, Sydney, to be third in the world to secure the iPhones. Taking their business seriously, they then moved to a mall in the city's shopping district to perform a drop test with the new devices.
First, he drops both phones from pocket level onto a cement pavement to see what the damage is. Both iPhones seem to hold up well — which Keller attributes to the new 7000 series aluminum used in the phones — with small scratches down the side and a slight dent on the impact zone of both.
