Google won't become a carmaker, despite self-driving tech investment

Google is in the midst of developing self-driving car technology, which includes a handful of now-infamous self-driving prototypes. Despite the investment and the small fleet egg-shaped test cars, the tech giant won’t in fact produce production cars itself. At least, according to a Reuters report out this morning.

"Google also does not intend to become a car manufacturer," Google's Philipp Justus told Reuters.
