San Francisco auditorium all dressed up for Apple's iPhone unveiling

Around this time every year, Apple unveils a new iPhone — and Wednesday's event in San Francisco should be no different

But whatever else Apple plans to unveil is anyone's guess, based on enigmatic signs and banners adorning the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, an arena built to host nearly 7,000 people, and its nearby street lamps. With less than 24 hours before the event kicks off, security remains pretty light, with at least two guards casually patrolling the front entrance.
