Whirlpool's app-connected home appliances can save you money and time

BERLIN — Even if you have a smart washer or dryer, there's a good chance it's not really that smart yet

At IFA on Thursday, home appliance company Whirlpool announced its latest innovations from Bauknecht, its new sub-brand for "life balancers."

What the heck is a life balancer, you ask? According to Whirlpool, life balancers are young millennial women (why not men?) who live an active lifestyle with a family and a career
