Philips' Izzy speakers make multi-room music syncing as easy as pressing a button

BERLIN — Syncing up wireless speakers in different rooms can be a real chore. The Philips Izzy multi-room speaker makes it as simple as pressing a button.

Assuming you buy multiple Izzy speakers, all you have to do to play is press the "Izzylink group" button and you'll be blasting music from one speaker to another.

Designed in partnership with Gibson Innovations, the Izzy BM5 (it's full model name), packs two 2.5-inch drivers and a bass port to deliver sound that's capable of filling up an entire room.

Smartphones and tablets connect to the Izzy via Bluetooth. Philips says the speaker doesn't need a router (or a bridge like many Sonos speakers), an app or a password. Read more...
