iPods may soon be harder to find in Apple stores

Apple is yet again tweaking its retail stores to be cleaner and ritzier

It's getting rid of Smart Signs — informational iPads that sit beside demo units in stores — to make way for a cleaner look and make room for more sample products. It's also removing demo iPod units from tables and making them readily available to customers by putting them on accessory shelves, according to a report by 9to5Mac, which sources Apple retail managers briefed on the plans

The changes will start appearing in most Apple Stores starting next Wednesday, according to the report
