The MLB hasn't banned the Apple Watch — for now

Despite recent reports, Major League Baseball has not banned the Apple Watch.

When Kansas City Royals Manager Ned Yost was ejected from Tuesday night's game against the Cincinnati Reds, following queries from league officials about the Apple Watch he was wearing during the game, many were were quick to speculate that the league had banned the wearable.

But it appears the two incidents are unrelated as Major League Baseball does not actually ban the device. (Yost was removed from the game in the 11th inning for arguing with the umpire.)

Yost has been sporting an Apple Watch in the Royals dugout for the last few weeks, after receiving the wearable as a gift from the league following the All Star game. Read more...
