Apple hired 65% more women than last year, but that's scratching the surface

Apple still employs mostly white males — but it's working on changing that.

The Cupertino giant released its diversity report for fiscal 2015 (June 2014 to June 2015) on Thursday, which states it has made strides to employ more women and minorities over the past year. The report adds that compared with its U.S. hires in fiscal 2014, it hired 66% more Hispanic employees and 50% more black employees in the U.S. than it did in fiscal 2014. Globally, it hired 65% more women than in 2014.
