Split View multitasking rumored to be coming to the next iPad Mini

As Apple nears the launch of new iPhones and iPads, the rumor mill continues to heat up.

A file found in a beta of OS X El Capitan points to Split View multitasking ability for the iPad Mini coming, a feature previously limited to the flagship iPad Air 2 reports 9to5Mac. The addition of multitasking feature implies the iPad Mini 4 would get a healthy performance boost.

9to5Mac, along with developer Hamza Sood, found a PDF file in the resources for Safari containing an illustration of Split View on an iPad Mini. In addition, a developer tool in Safari that allows website viewing simulated on a variety of screen sizes showed Split View on an iPad Mini 3, a device that doesn't currently support the feature.
