Limited edition 'Halo 5' Xbox One makes us forget how ugly the console is

The Xbox One is getting a super slick limited-edition model styled after the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians.

Microsoft announced the $499 console, which will be available Oct. 20, at Gamescom on Monday.

The general consensus is the Xbox One is an ugly and bulky console when compared to the sleek PlayStation 4. It's boxy design has been likened to old Betamax players and VCRs.

This limited edition Xbox One, however, is pretty. Really pretty

Not only does it have a design inspired by Spartan Locke's metallic blue, silver and black armor uniform — high polish surface on the front and hex pattern to match his visor — but it also makes sounds from the Halo universe when you turn the console on and off. Read more...
