iPhone found working after falling from airplane

Conventional wisdom suggests that your iPhone would shatter if dropped from 10 or 20 feet. Surviving a drop of more than 9,000 feet seems impossible.

But apparently not. Texas man Ben Wilson found his still-working phone, using the Find My iPhone app, after it fell 9,300 feet from the small aircraft he was flying in, reports the Times Record News.

A drop in pressure caused the airplane's door to open by about three inches, enough time to send the iPhone to the ground. Wilson noticed a newspaper fall when the door opened, but didn't realize his iPhone was gone until he landed at Kickpoo Airport in Wichita Falls, Texas. Read more...
