Motorola unveils the 3rd-generation, water-resistant Moto G

Motorola has a big day planned. It's rolling out two new phones in the U.S.: a flagship Moto X update and a lower-end, more road-ready Moto G.

The handset maker, though, got the party started early and just unveiled the water-resistant (IPX7-rated) Moto G in India.

According to a series of tweets from Motorola India, the third-generation, Android Lollipop-based G gets a number of welcome updates.

It's now equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera that has a dual flash. The front camera (or "selfie camera") gets a nice bump from 2MP up to 5MP. Motorola has even added a feature it calls Quick Capture which lets you take a picture just by moving the camera (we won't truly understand how that doesn't create blurry photos until we see the device in person, which should be later today).
