If you ask Google Maps 'are we there yet?' enough times, it gives you 'tude

If you're on a road trip and you nag Google Maps enough, it will have a few choice words for you.

The latest update to Google Maps on Android carries a hidden Easter egg when you ask, "Are we there yet?". The maps service will respond, in a line true to Chevy Chase's iconic line in National Lampoon's Vacation, "If you ask me again, we won't stop for ice cream."

We tested out the feature, which was surfaced by Android Police. Currently, this only works on Android phones; iOS devices don't have to option to use dictation within the app

To try for yoursef, set Google Maps on your Android device to give you turn-by-turn navigation directions. Then hit the dictation button (the microphone icon in the top right of the app) and ask, "Are we there yet?" Read more...
