Panasonic GX8 records smoother, less shaky 4K video footage

Panasonic really wants you to start recording in 4K.

The company announced on Thursday its latest 4K mirrorless camera, the GX8. The $1,100 body-only camera is a step up from the $800 G7 announced a couple of months ago.

The 20.3-megapixel GX8 comes in a sleek retro-inspired design that's splash and dust proof. The camera can shoot 8 frames per second (fps) on continuous burst mode in single autofocus mode and 6 fps in continuous autofocus mode. It also has a maximum ISO of 25,600.

The GX8 has what Panasonic calls Dual I.S. — body and lens stabilization — to reduce vibrations and allow for crisper hand-held shots. Read more...
