Report: Leaked iPhone 6S photo suggests longer battery life

With the debut of the next-generation iPhone likely three months away — a new one traditionally launches each September — the Apple rumor mill is heating up right on schedule.

Allegedly leaked photos of Apple's upcoming iPhone, presumed to be called the iPhone 6S, reveal an exterior casing that looks nearly identical to the iPhone 6 but comes with some internal updates. The details come from tech site 9to5Mac, which has a solid track record of correctly identifying leaks ahead of an Apple launch.

Despite initial rumors that the next-generation 4.7-inch iPhone could be even slimmer than the iPhone 6, the leaked photos show no changes to the casing. If the photos are legit, any differences in thickness, length or width are too small to notice. This doesn't come as a huge surprise, considering the iPhone is on an "S" cycle this year, which traditionally has fewer design changes and more internal upgrades. Read more...
