Why the latest 'Angry Birds' sequel may be the worst of the franchise

Despite a decline in interest after five years and a dozen-plus games involving characters from the franchise, Angry Birds still enjoys a devoted following of millions of players who eagerly await each and every regular update. But if the newest title in the canon is any indication, Birds fans can no longer expect the incredible value that the series once provided

I first started playing the original Angry Birds not long after it debuted in December 2009. After playing it all the way through, however — along with companion title Angry Birds Seasons — I gradually found myself less interested in the gameplay.
