Watch this race-car driver break a world speed record with no hands
The Koenigsegg One:1 isn't a normal car. It's about as far removed from normal as physically possible.
Just watch one of its test drivers accelerate the car from 0 to 211 mph and back down to 0 only putting his hands on the wheel when he needs to. It's mind-boggling — even more so when you realize the driver sets a new (though as-yet unofficial) world record for fastest acceleration to 300 km/h.
The Swedish company Koenigsegg makes some of the fastest and most technologically advanced cars in the world. The One:1 is named for power to weight ratio of 1360 horsepower to 1360 kilograms (2998 lbs), which makes this extremely light and extremely powerful. Read more...
