Dropbox update makes it easier to get files from people without accounts

Dropbox just made it a lot easier for people without accounts to share files through its service.

The file storage service rolled out a new tool Wednesday, called file request, which makes it easier for users to ask for specific types of files from individuals and groups, regardless of whether they have a Dropbox account.

You can request files from the new "file request" menu in the left-hand column of Dropbox.com. From there, type in the email address of the person you want to request the files from, and designate a folder in your Dropbox account for the incoming files Read more...
