Technology is transforming America’s classrooms

From online learning resources like Khan Academy to Teach to One – which creates customized lessons for each student based on progress from the previous day – new digital instructional tools allow teachers to tailor learning to students' needs, skills, and interests. And the market is growing fast. Educational technology products (excluding hardware) saw an estimated $2.5 billion in sales in 2013 – up 25% from the previous year.

But why do about half of all teachers report that they are dissatisfied with the digital tools they use most often?
