Leaked images reveal Nest's plans to fully absorb Dropcam

Nest will announce a new Internet-connected security camera at its press event on June 17 in San Francisco, according to a new report.

One week ahead of the event, Android blog Droid Life obtained images of what it says is the next-generation Dropcam.

Nest, a Google-owned company, acquired Dropcam for $555 million last year.

The new Nest Cam, which will either replace the $199 Dropcam Pro or co-exist alongside it, will shed the Dropcam branding in favor of Nest — Google's preferred branding for its smart home strategy. Read more...
