Apple reveals new OS for Apple Watch, complete with Time Travel

Apple announced watchOS 2, which offers native access to the Apple Watch's sensors and digital crown

"It gives developers even more time to develop apps for the Apple Watch that will change the world," Apple CEO Tim Cook said onstage on Monday at this year's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC)

While Apple Watch apps like maps, music and mail previously had native access to every internal function of the wrist-bound device, all third-party apps were dependent on the Bluetooth-connected iPhone, which limited their functionality. With new Apple Watch Native App SDK, developers are able to fully harness the Apple Watch's capabilities, like HealthKit and the heart rate sensor.
