Apple Pay could see summer launch in the UK

After months of negotiations with banks, Apple Pay is reportedly set to launch in the United Kingdom in August.

Banks in the UK were slow to jump on to the platform because of concerns over Apple's access to banking data,
according to The Telegraph.

The mobile payments service, which was introduced with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in September 2014 (and launched in October 2014), quickly became the most used mobile payments service. That doesn't count for much, though: ApplePay has reached a wide swath of larger retailers, and more are coming. But for the most part, it's not available to use at small and mid-sized businesses where people shop on a daily basis. Read more...
