Apple CarPlay is going wireless

Apple CarPlay has been touted as a savior from subpar and distracting infotainment systems in cars, and it's getting an extremely useful update.

As announced at Apple's Worldwide Developer's Conference (WWDC) on Monday, Apple CarPlay is going wireless, so drivers won't have to take out their phones and plug it into a USB to use it. This gives CarPlay a significant leg up over its Android counterpart, Android Auto.

The point of CarPlay is convenience, and the need to plug your device in to use it was rather counterintuitive.
