SONOMA, Calif. — Love is soaring to new heights this wedding season, thanks to the growing trend of drone photography.

More couples are adding drones to their wedding-day wish lists to capture stunning aerial shots of their special day.

According to The Knot, drone photography started to take off (see what we did there?) in early 2014, but early adopters incorporated it into weddings a few years prior

"A few wedding photographers over the past couple years have started experimenting with drones starting in sometime around 2013," The Knot site director Anja Winikka told Mashable.
