More than 2,000 people filled up Jeremy Greene's mansion in the Hollywood Hills on Friday night to celebrate the launch of his new social app PingTank. In attendance were Vine stars like Nash Grier, rapper OT Genasis, Kylie Jenner, Melanie Brown (a.k.a. Mel B of the Spice Girls) and other social media personalities

While lavish launch parties with high-profile guests are not out of the norm for hyped apps, what happened next is indicative of just how far these companies will go to sustain the hype machine.

The party was well underway when two "cops" rushed in demanding to see Greene, PingTank's CEO. They pulled out tasers and pushed him to the ground. Just as the situation looked like it was about to get out of control, Greene jumped up and rapper Tyga — who was there with Jenner — hopped onto a counter to perform an impromptu four-song set.
