A thief could use your stolen Apple Watch with a simple factory reset
The Apple Watch has been out for only a few weeks and a security bug (feature?) has already been discovered.
According to a video published by iDownloadBlog, the Apple Watch's security can be circumvented by performing a factory reset that erases all of the device's data. The newly wiped Apple Watch can then be set up as a new device and paired with another iPhone.
The Apple Watch is designed to automatically ask for a passcode when it detects it's no longer on a person's wrist. But the passcode security is useless against theft if anyone can easily erase all the data and reset the watch without needing to key the code in. Read more...
