Microsoft unveils Visual Studio Code for Windows, Mac and Linux

Hell has officially frozen over. Microsoft is bringing some of its developer tools to the Mac and Linux.

At the tech giant's Build 2015 conference on Wednesday, Scott Guthrie, Microsoft's executive vice-president of cloud and enterprise, introduced Visual Studio Code to the audience.

Visual Studio Code is a code-optimized editor with built-in support for dozens of different languages.
