Apple has a stack of patents just for its Watch bands. Are they really new?

The Apple Watch is jam-packed with technology and innovation. It is the essence of a tiny, wearable computer. But what kind of wearable would it be without those crazy, new-fangled watch bands?

From the moment I saw how Apple's custom-made watch bands slide in and out of a special channel in the Apple Watch, and noted how you could resize the pricier link band by pressing a button and pulling the little links apart and off, I was mesmerized
