LONDON — He wouldn't fully admit it, but his female companion made it clear: Josep planned a special holiday in London to try and get an Apple Watch.

The pair, who travelled from Spain for a mini-break that just happened to coincide with the launch, were rewarded for their dedication Friday morning, as they became the first people to leave Dover Street Market in Mayfair with the coveted device.
